Dr. Swati Srivastava

Research Scientist at the Health Economics and Health Financing Unit, Heidelberg Institute of Global Health, Heidelberg University. Swati also lectures in the MSc International Health programme, teaching core modules on health policy, health financing, and health economics.

• REACH-OUT (2025–2028): Closing the immunization gap by reaching zero-dose children through equitable and cost-effective vaccine delivery strategies. Funded by the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EU).
• INSPIRE Pakistan (2021–2026): Informing the Social Health Protection Initiative through rigorous evidence, with a focus on outpatient service coverage and capitation payments. Funded by KfW (German Development Bank).
• Digital referral systems in Karnataka’s public health insurance (2023–2024): A mixed-methods case study on how digital tools can strengthen health financing objectives. Commissioned by the World Health Organization.

Author of 26 peer-reviewed publications in journals including Health Policy and Planning, BMC Health Services Research, and the International Journal for Equity in Health.
